Markets
2021-2023
January 2021 took me to my first market in Kiama. Throughout this year I would have my business stocked in the Pop-up Chatterbox Market within Wollongong Central and have fortnightly stalls at Corrimal Park Market. Candles, artwork and jewellery abounded, some of which can still be bought online via my Etsy Stall. Click here for my Etsy Stall.
Tirra Lirra

Tirra Lirra is a song cycle based on the poem 'The Lady of Shalott' by Alfred Lord Tennyson. The poem describes a cursed maiden who may only view the outside world via a mirror within her chamber, spending her days weaving. However, one day she is tempted to look as Lancelot passes by singing 'Tirra Lirra' and because of this, her curse takes hold. She sets herself in a boat and sails down the river to Camelot where she passes.
Each song in the cycle grows gradually more sparse in instrumentation as the lady's story unfurls. The cycle begins with an overture inspired by musical theatre opening numbers before the ballads begin.
Part 1: The Lady of Shalott
Part 2: By the island in the river
Part 3: To weave the mirror's magic sights
Part 4: She looked down to Camelot
Part 5: The broad stream bore her far away
Part 6: Singing in her song she died
