About Us

The Glass Sea began as a song. However, like much of life - evolving and changing - it became something completely different. It became a haven of colours and creativity for the artist and founder Anita Grassy.

Whilst Anita has been creating and selling since her early teens, The Glass Sea was born in 2020. Since then, Anita has been creating paintings, candles and jewellery to sell on Etsy and markets in the Illawarra as well as  writing and singing for gigs and performances.  Currently working as a teacher of music and visual arts in the Illawarra, she tries to impart a sense of wonder and freedom as students create in their own ways. 

Anita has worked in a number of fields, from hospitality and admin to teaching, but finds joy in the creativity of making. Currently studying the field of Art Therapy, Anita hopes to continue helping others navigate this wild journey known as life and live it to the fullest - full of sunshine and pastels!
